Full Void: Dystopian Puzzle-Platformer Lands on PlayStation

The dystopian puzzle-platformer Full Void from London-based indie developer OutOfTheBit is launching today on PlayStation, offering a 20% discount for PlayStation®Plus members. This launch follows a successful release across PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. The game invites players to navigate a dystopian future, solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles while fighting off a haunting AI. The narrative unfolds in a broken, run-down society where only children are still free, but the question is - for how long?

The OutOfTheBit team, a group of seven passionate developers based in Wimbledon, London, UK, is known for their innovative approach to classic game genres. Their previous works, Super Arcade Football and Super Arcade Racing, have received acclaim on Steam and major consoles, and Full Void is their latest endeavor. The game combines hand-drawn pixel art, immersive atmospheres, and environmental storytelling, making it a perfect fit for the spooky season.

In Full Void, players are put to the test as they traverse beautifully crafted pixel environments and enjoy cinematic puzzler-platform gameplay with a modern twist. The game is seen as a spiritual successor to classic 90s era cinematic platformers such as Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, Heart Of Darkness, and Prince Of Persia. Although entirely 2D pixel art, Full Void also gives the feeling of a 3D world, with depth and the possibility of movement that sometimes goes beyond the sideways scrolling. Each scene is custom-built, with hand-crafted composition, animation, and perspective.
