DREDGE: The Iron Rig expansion dives deeper

The deep-sea adventure of DREDGE continues to captivate players with the announcement of its second expansion, 'The Iron Rig.' Black Salt Games and Team17 Digital revealed the new storyline, set to release on 15th August, which will introduce new fish species, boat upgrades, gadgets, and more. The expansion promises to reinvigorate the base game's areas, offering players a renewed sense of purpose as they collaborate with the Ironhaven Corporation to build a formidable base of operations.

The Iron Rig expansion does not only offer new areas to explore, but it also introduces a new element of danger. As drilling on the rig intensifies, a dark liquid seeps into the familiar zones, transforming them into hazardous areas. Players will need to carefully monitor the impact of this mysterious substance on local fish species, unveiling peculiar specimens from the abyssal depths as they add more than 50 new fish to the game's encyclopedia. DREDGE continues to push the boundaries of indie fishing adventures, offering not only new equipment and characters but also new world events and lore to discover. The Iron Rig expansion will be available on multiple platforms, including Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows10. 

In addition to the new expansion, Black Salt Games also announced the DREDGE Collector’s Edition, available for pre-order and set to release in November. The Collector’s Edition includes the base game, all DLCs, exclusive artwork, reversible inlay, and a 10cm3 replica of the game's iconic fishing boat.
