Dead Space Skins Are Now Available in Fortnite
Isaac Clarke goes off into Fortnite after a traumatizing time in Dead Space.
Another day, another game makes its way to Fortnite. The remake of the sci-fi horror classic Dead Space is finally out. The battle royale has revealed a Dead Space x Fortnite collaboration to celebrate it! Dataminers previously leaked leaks about this crossover, but now that it’s official, you can Isaac Clarke’s outfit with your Fortnite account in the Fortnite Item Shop. We all know by now that Epic Games has continually been working with well-known developers, publishers, and even artists to put otherworld characters in Fortnite for the past few years. As a result, Fortnite is chock full of pop culture icons thanks to its push for the Gaming Legends series. So far, we’ve had characters such as Lara Croft, Chris Redfield, and Geralt of Rivia. Now, it looks like the protagonist of Dead Space will be joining in as well.
Isaac Takes A Vacation to Fortnite
Chapter 4: Season 1 kicked off with The Doom Slayer and Geralt of Rivia, but if you think that’s all you’re getting out of Fortnite, you’re dead wrong. We now also have a talented (and traumatized) space engineer Isaac Clarke in celebration of the release of the Dead Space remake. Consider what Isaac goes through in the sci-fi horror, his escapades in Fortnite are like a cakewalk compared to cutting off a never-ending amount of necromorph limbs.
Get the Dead Space Strange Transmissions Quest Pack
You’ll have to purchase the Strange Quest Transmissions to get Isaac Clarke. It’s available in the Fortnite Item Shop, but while most crossover skins can be bought using V-Bucks, the pack is unique because you can only get it with real money. In return, though, you’ll get the following:
-
Isaac Clarke Outfit
-
USG Ishimura Back Bling
-
RIG Back Bling
-
Plasma Cutter Pickaxe with a built-in Instant Upgrade emote
The Plasma Cutter Pickaxe is particularly neat, mainly because it has that handy bench upgrade emote that you can equip or unequip, much like the upgrade systems Isaac can find around USG Ishimura.
The fun doesn’t stop there, either! For the price of $11.99, the pack will also give you Strange Transmissions Quests. They’re essentially missions that will reward you with Fortnite’s premium currency, V-Bucks; this is one of the biggest incentives to get the pack. If you are a Dead Space fan and buying some V-Bucks, you should get the bundle instead.
How to Complete the Strange Transmissions Quests
Completing the missions from the Strange Transmissions Quest Pack is an excellent way to get the most out of your money. You can only unlock the reward of V-Bucks after completing all the quests. Thankfully, they’re not that difficult to do at all. Here are all of the quests that come with the pack:
Quest | Reward |
---|---|
Stage 1: Complete Daily Bonus Goals (3) | 100 V-Bucks |
Stage 2: Complete Daily Bonus Goals (5) | 200 V-Bucks |
Stage 3: Complete Daily Bonus Goals (7) | 300 V-Bucks |
Stage 4: Complete Daily Bonus Goals (10) | 400 V-Bucks |
Stage 5: Complete Daily Bonus Goals (12) | 500 V-Bcks |
If you add all the rewards you get, it all totals to 1,500 V-Bucks. You can only complete Daily Bonus Goals once you finish a daily quest. The main difference between daily quests and Daily Bonus Goals is that you can complete as many daily quests as you like. While in the case of Daily Bonus Goals, you can complete up to three per day.
Should you aim to complete all the quests available in the Strange Transmissions Quest Pack, it’ll take you a minimum of five days to get all the V-Bucks in the pack. There’s no time limit to get through the quests, so don’t feel pressured; they’ll always remain available even after the pack leaves the Fortnite Item Shop.
Is the Pack Available for A Limited Time Only?
Suppose you don’t have the budget for the pack right now. Have no fear; since it’s a money-base pack, Isaac Clarke can still appear in the Fortnite Item Shop as often as every few months. Epic Games frequently rotates their V-Bucks quest packs through the shop, so you shouldn’t have trouble getting it in the future. The Space Transmission Quest Pack is also sold in retail stores with physical cards with codes, making it possible to purchase this pack from third-party marketplaces specializing in cosmetic items and Fortnite accounts.
