A Highland Song’s Harmony update: A new tune in gaming

In the latest news from inkle, the creators of A Highland Song have announced the Harmony Update, bringing new content to their acclaimed narrative platformer. This update is set to take the adventure of teenager Moira McKinnon across the Scottish Highlands to new heights. The Harmony Update is now available on both Steam and Nintendo Switch.

The Harmony Update brings a wealth of new content to A Highland Song. The game, which is a combination of survival adventure, platformer, and rhythm game, now features five new tracks by Scottish folk bands Talisk and Fourth Moon. A new Landmarks feature has been introduced allowing players to see peak names and paths they've located on previous runs, aiding in exploration. Additionally, new story surprises await discovery along Moira's journey across the Highlands. Check out the Harmony Update trailer here:

A Highland Song has earned recognition from the Tribeca Film Festival, the Independent Game Festival, and the Calgary International Film Festival, where it won the Barcode XR Award for Outstanding Experience. The game's soundtrack, composed by Laurence Chapman, also features the multi-award-winning giants of the Scottish folk scene, TALISK and Fourth Moon. As players navigate the highlands, they will encounter a variety of gameplay elements including platforming, survival, navigation, narrative, rhythm runs, and replayability. The journey through the hills is filled with lost things, echoes, and memories, and a single trip isn't nearly enough to discover the Highlands' deepest secrets.
