Dead Tomb: A Retro revival Point-and-Click adventure

8-Bit Legit, in partnership with CollectorVision/Acclaim, is set to bring a brand-new point and click adventure game to Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and NES. The game is titled Dead Tomb, a fun and engaging adventure that promises to transport players back to the golden age of retro gaming.

Dead Tomb thrusts players into a unique scenario where a simple study mission turns into an unexpected journey through time. Following a malfunction in their ship, players find themselves in Egypt circa 1300 BC. A series of unfortunate events leads to them waking up deep inside a pyramid, with the objective of escaping and returning to their original mission. The game can be pre-ordered on Nintendo Switch and Xbox starting Jan. 19th with a retail release to follow on Jan. 26, 2024.

In a noteworthy move, Dead Tomb will also be the first physical NES release from 8-Bit Legit. The game will be part of the "Final Edition" series, which is limited to just 300 copies. The trailer for Dead Tomb can be viewed on the brand new 8 Bit Legit Official YouTube channel:

Tim Hartman, Producer and Partner for 8-Bit Legit, expressed his excitement about the upcoming release, stating, "Having Dead Tomb as our first release is an honor, as the team at CollectorVision/Acclaim are such a vital part to not only the indieNES but retro community as well."

Dead Tomb features puzzles and gameplay reminiscent of classic point and click games, an intriguing storyline, character interactions, fantastic cutscenes, true 8-Bit Legit graphics, and a catchy chiptune soundtrack. It's no doubt a love letter to the lost video game genre that was a staple in the early days of gaming.
