The Invincible’s First Patch: A Leap Forward

The Invincible, the sci-fi adventure game from 11 bit studios, has received its first patch. Released for Steam and GOG, the patch introduces a range of updates and features, including bug fixes and improvements. Console and Epic Games Store patches are expected to follow in early 2024.

The patch introduces several notable enhancements, including a new save system that allows players to revisit chapters and resume the game from chosen points. It also adds four new filters in photo mode and new accessibility options. Players can now choose to hide Yasna's helmet, microphone, or helmet glass. Additional improvements include texture and render target optimizations, load time reductions, visible texture loading, ultrawide screen fixes, and fixes for various hardlock and softlock issues throughout the game. Animation and environmental polishing, rover driving model improvements, SFX/VFX polishing, and several localization typo fixes have also been implemented.

The game, based on the novel of the same name by Stanislaw Lem, is a retro-futuristic hard sci-fi adventure inspired by 1950s illustrations of a possible future. It's currently available on PC and current-gen consoles. Check out the launch trailer for a deeper look into the game:

With the release of this patch, it seems like a great time to explore The Invincible's intriguing universe. The team at 11 bit studios promises that more exciting news is coming in 2024.
