Tenebris Somnia: A New Era of Horror Gaming

Tenebris Somnia, the new horror adventure game developed by Andrés Borghi and Saibot Studios, has released a new demo on Steam. The game, which takes inspiration from classic survival horror games, seamlessly blends 2D environments typical of the NES or Famicom era with live-action cutscenes to create a truly unique gaming experience.

The recent demo release was accompanied by the unveiling of a brand-new trailer at Feardemic's Fear Fest 2023. The trailer, which can be viewed here:

It offers a glimpse into the new mechanics, environments, and cinematic scenes. The game's development was partly funded by a Mega Grant from Epic Games, which has allowed for the creation of new cinematic scenes that were shot this year.

Tenebris Somnia follows the story of Julia, who is plagued by recurring nightmares of her ex-boyfriend Iván being attacked by horrifying creatures. When she goes to his apartment and discovers these creatures are real and holding him captive, she must enter a dark and dangerous world to save him. The game promises to test players with challenging puzzles and intense combat sequences.
