Somerville: The Otherworldly PlayStation Debut

Thunderful and JUMPSHIP have announced the release of their mysterious sci-fi adventure game, Somerville, on PlayStation. The game is set to debut on August 31st, 2023. Somerville immerses players in a world experiencing the aftermath of an otherworldly invasion, offering a narrative-driven experience that explores the intimate repercussions of large-scale conflict. The aim of the game is to piece together your family in the wake of this catastrophe, providing an atmospheric journey through a transformed world.

Somerville has been described as “the most beautiful game I’ve ever played” by VG247 and “a disconcerting masterpiece” by The Gamer. The game challenges players with a series of puzzles set within an altered landscape, affected by a strange alien sediment. As the protagonist, players discover the ability to manipulate this alien material in various ways, ensuring a constant stream of new ideas and experiences throughout the journey. In Somerville, players explore the devastation left behind by the invading alien force and the resistance.
