Long road to release begins for Mile of Crying

New adventures continue to pop up all over the world, and the latest announcement comes from Poland in the form of a psychological horror called Mile of Crying. (Note: The game was originally announced with the alternate working title "Mile of Cry".)

Mile of Crying is a third-person point-and-click adventure that casts players in the role of Adam, who suffers from an unusual kind of amnesia. Adam knows who he is and what's happening around him, but he can't remember certain moments that connect various aspects of his past. Suffering from horrifying dreams and feeling an undefined internal force urging him to learn what happened during these moments, Adam explores the small town he believes holds the secrets eluding him, visiting such locations as the psychiatric hospital and orphanage. The town's population isn't eager for its mysteries to be revealed, however, and there are those who will stop at nothing to prevent him from succeeding.

The game promises a mature storyline with a non-linear structure and a distinct graphical style that suits its horror-themed atmosphere, as seen in its early concept art. An official website for Mile of Crying has already been launched, though no further details about the game have yet been revealed.

According to the game's newly-formed studio called Fearless, Mile of Crying is currently scheduled for release during the holiday season in 2010. The developers anticipate needing publisher investment to reach completion, however, and are actively seeking partners at this time.
