Sol705 campaign

Outcry sounds out in North American stores

For a game called Outcry, there sure hasn't been much heard about the latest title from The Adventure Company, but it's ready to make noise now, as today the game shipped to retailers in North America.

Developed in Russia under the name of Sublustrum, the game casts players in the role of a middle-aged writer who receives an invitation from a brother he hasn't seen in years. Upon arriving, however, you learn that the brother has since disappeared, and as you begin to delve deeper into the mystery, you'll learn that he was secretly working on a machine that could separate a person's consciousness from its physical body.

For more information about Outcry, which will retail for the budget price of $19.99 USD, be sure to check out the game's website, listed under its original title.

I agree Indigo, it’s the art direction that got my attention. Surreal and gritty. I downloaded the Sublustrum (as it’s known in Russia) soundtrack and it’s wonderful. This has moved to the top of my list.

Could be déja vu.  I see where you’re going with the comment.  I felt the same way but I have a feeling there are some distinct differences between these titles and for me, the strong interest in this title really lies in the art direction.  It’s got a very interesting look about it, gritty dark and somewhat surreal.  I plan on giving it a chance…

Déja vu. Is it just me or is this plot outline already been used in Sierra’s Lighthouse and also Jonathan Boakes’ Dark Fall? Oddly enough, Lighthouse happen to have been written by Jonathan Bock. Please don’t tell me Outcry’s story was penned by a Jonathan. lol
