TAC stakes publishing claim to Dracula Origin
This looks to be the year of the vampire, with at least three different adventures featuring a nocturnal bloodsucker or two. The first to see the light of day may just prove to be Dracula Origin, as The Adventure Company announced today that it will be publishing the game in North America this spring.
Although both Dracula Resurrection and The Last Sanctuary were previously published by TAC, Dracula Origin is unrelated to those earlier titles. Instead, the newest adventure from Frogwares casts players in the role of famed vampire hunter Professor Van Helsing. While Count Dracula, the world's first vampire, seeks a manuscript that will allow him to bring souls back from the dead, Van Helsing will travel to such places as London, Austria, Egypt, and Carpathian Europe in his determined bid to stop him.
Dracula Origin is scheduled to release on April 7, 2008. In the meantime, there's plenty of information about the game at the official website.
