Myst Online shows its Age
GameTap offered not one but two welcome announcements recently as Myst Online: Uru Live rapidly nears its official launch.
The biggest news comes in the form of a brand new "Age" to be unveiled today. With the game in an open public beta phase on the broadband network, participating players will now have the opportunity to freely explore the new world provided. The added content supports the preview storyline already in place, which last week introduced a character named Cate Alexander, whose emergence "has had a significant effect on the D'ni Restoration Council (DRC) and the cavern restoration effort as a whole."
Mac users have additional reason to be enthused about Myst Online, as GameTap also revealed that a Macintosh compatible version of the game is now in development by TransGaming Inc., returning the series to the platform the original Myst premiered on many years ago.
