Taking place, not all that surprisingly, on a cruise ship, the game puts players in the shoes of one Gertrude Zzyrgenhymer. Her initially freeform explorations soon have her getting drawn into a rapidly thickening plot. Revealing more would not only spoil the surprise, but might also fail to describe the events of any one playthrough, since The Game That Takes Place on a Cruise Ship offers multiple paths and four different endings, depending on what actions the player chooses.
Created with the SLUDGE engine, the game features colorful graphics and a full digital soundtrack.
