Poorly executed story, lots of filler with tiresome photography and very little to play.

going through the motions

what a disappointment. the story is heavily driven by coincidences and cliches. not much to discover or decide here either. the pacing is weird; the main plot gets rattled off in a rather unenthusiastic way, also the relationship between the protagonist trio stays very superficial the whole time - on the other hand you waste almost a complete episode with the boy and a laughable easy LARP event.
last but not least; i don’t see how the price of a triple-a title is justified here. this is even the shortest game in the series so far. at least they could have included the bonus episode wavelengths as a free download, but no, you’d have to pay over 10 bucks for the deluxe upgrade on the playstation store.

more interesting and believable plot and character development for the next series, please. and a fair price, like the first two! also less linear again would be nice.

Beautiful but so boring

I’m a big fan of the previous Life is Strange titles, all of which felt like a proverbial emotional rollercoaster. I felt a genuine bond with the characters as I navigated them through many exciting experiences and unimaginable trauma.

True Colors tried too hard to be sentimental and moving and as a result it just ends up cheesy and cliched. A big part of the game is running fetch quests or running in circles. It takes such a long time before any kind of conflict and plot to develop and when it does it’s quite bland and predictable.

In my opinion, this is by far the weakest of the series and as stunning as the environments are, the writing, characters or gameplay didn’t engage me at all.
