And thanks so much to chrissie—this quiz was extremely entertaining. I particularly enjoyed the matching twist.  Yum

Making only a certain amount of screenshots as pairs was really brilliant idea.
All quizmasters should use that on some of the future quizzes. (of course only is this idea is not trademarked, chrissie. )

I agree with Dark-I that the pairs/non-pairs added to the fun.

This was an excellent quiz, Chrissie, but I spent way too much time looking at YouTube videos to find screenshots. Crazy

Thanks all for your comments & on the matching ‘twist’! I can’t take full credit for the idea as Advie had already presented matching quizzes in the past so not trademarked!
The idea for this one came around when I had 2 different screenshots for a game, didn’t know which to use & my original presentation was just a ‘wall’ of cinema screens so I thought why not use both & try finding other relevant matches to ‘break that wall’!

Question: do you think it would have been better to have been given a clue at the start as to which games had matches?

Karlok - 23 December 2016 07:37 PM

Here’s my walk of shame.
- Stupid Invaders. A game I enjoyed a lot. I still don’t recognize the pic, but I did think of SI at some point and never checked. Why? Don’t know.

I did have a similar but too recognisable pic to start with for SI & it’s from the introduction of the game!

PS. Beautiful results presentation, chrissie!

No, I like the way you did the point system by giving bonus points for finding the matches.  It was more challenging and more difficult to score on your part, but I liked the way you did it.  For one or two of the MM tourneys we used game box matches that way but didn’t include bonus points.

What Lady Kestrel said. Not knowing where the pair might be hidden was the best part of this quiz for me, chrissie.

Thanks Chrissie - that was a terrific pre-Christmas quiz! Trying to find the matches definitely added to the fun (though it did mean I put off submitting a lot of guesses because I hadn’t found a pair yet).
