Love You to Bits

Love You to Bits was released today on iOS (it’s supposed to be coming soon to Android, Windows and Mac). It’s made by the same people who made Tiny Thief, and it’s very similar to Samorost (but with cartoon graphics).

I’ve played a bit of it, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s been pretty easy so far, but it’s really charming and I like how each level has its own identity, both visually and puzzle-wise. One level, for instance, has you moving from panel to panel in a comic book.

Has anyone else been playing it? Any thoughts?

It looks very sweet and colorful, Kuru.  I look forward to getting the Mac release when it comes out.

Since someone has bumped the thread, I might as well post a few thoughts on the game.

1) It’s not finished. There are 24 levels, which take a few hours to complete, but the game doesn’t reach the ending of the story. More levels are supposed to be added Soon™, as a free update.

2) I really liked how each level is its own thing, with its own look, its own theme and its own puzzle design.

3) The difficulty ramps up a bit as the levels get bigger, but I wouldn’t have minded if the game had been a tad more challenging. Still, it didn’t feel insultingly easy either.

4) Regardless of the difficulty, the puzzle design is absolutely superb. It’s always clever, always elegant, always satisfying. I am really, really impressed.

So, yeah. I enjoyed this more than I expected, and I’m definitely looking forward to those extra levels. With the depressing state of “premium” (i.e. non-F2P) games on the App Store, this is a game that deserves all the support it can get.
