I’m sold!
The style looks like a nice mash-up of all previous Daedalic titles. The Whispered World art might still be my fav, but this is great as well.

I completely agree. Though judging from these images, I wouldn’t be very surprised if the final product surpasses TWW in graphic terms.

Breaking news - Daedalic has changed the title to - “The Night of the Rabbit”. I’m not sure if I like the new title better, but doesn’t matter really. Were there any other instances where developer had decided to change the title near the release date?

Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale

Well, Star Wars Episode VI was called Revenge of the Jedi until someone pointed out that Revenge isn’t the Jedi way, so they changed it to Return of the Jedi mere weeks before the release date (with several - now very valuable - Revenge-posters already made)... Tongue

Oh, wait, you were talking about games… Innocent

I don’t think the name change was all that good here. I liked the other name better, and I was already used to it. Now it’ll just confuse me… Tongue

I certainly prefer the original title. This new name is completely forgettable.

I’m sorry, but the first thing that sprung to mind when I saw that new title was…

Worst. Title change. Ever.

I can’t help but think of Bruce Campbell - you know - The Night of the Rabbit, Night of the Living Dead, Evil Dead… no?

Daedalic has changed the title to - “The Night of the Rabbit”.

Reminds me of one of the craziest (& most stupid) horror movies I’ve seen/heard of.

Have fun.

I remember being confused about Two Movies which turned out to be one Leon & The professional .. lol ..
anyways

but Daedalic had a similar case before; Chaos on Deponia   title was only with the English Release The German known as Deponia 2
also with Harvey’s New Eye and Edna & Harvey 2..
they seem to have a problem with titles.. really

advie, your example with Deponia is not true. In German it is called “Chaos auf Deponia”, too!

With none of us having played the game, can any of us REALLY say it’s a bad title?

I mean, once we’ve played the game, it might turn out to be the greatest title of all time!

Or not. Tongue

The major task of a title is to grab people’s attention. “The Rabbit’s Apprentice” not only sound more intriguing, it even reveals some kind information. Night of the Rabbit just sounds so mediocre… but i’m still eagerly anticipating Smile

I like both titles though I got used to “The Rabbit’s Apprentice”.
“The Night of the Rabbit” reminds me of a very specific South Park episode (Fantastic Easter Special)...

Daedalic usually does wonderful visuals, but the screenshots look “busy” to me when compared to Whispering World.  Still, it looks like another quality game from them.  The title conjures up a rabbit with sharp bloody teeth. Tongue
