Place that quote!
This quote remind me of a first person adventure game I played for a bit, 3-4 years ago in a friends house. It had timed puzzles and no specific dialog (but I can be mistaken here). Unfortunately, I can’t recall its name (and I think I never finished it…).
Sorry Advie, it’s not Blackwell Unbound (or any of the Blackwell games) either.
Yes, it’s a first-person game, with several timed sequences throughout. (Most people thought the game was mediocre, although I liked it because I’m a fan of the source material.)
The Baudelaire poem is the final speech in the game, while the above quote is spoken at the very beginning. The speakers of both quotes become inextricably linked, although this might be somewhat unclear, especially to those who have not read the series on which the game is based.
Another quote, or more hints?
Diabolus ex Machina since 1993
Sherlock Holmes vs Arsene Lupin?
Post Mortem? I don’t think it’s based on a book though.
Nicopol: Secrets of the Immortals?
Yep, you got it Sefir, Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals it is.
Alcide Nikopol (the elder) recited Baudelaire’s Le mort joyeux and Horus said the second line, deciding on possessing Nikopol Sr., since he seemed to the only human untainted by radiation and disease (having been cryogenically frozen for 30 years).

I know I heard/read that one (maybe even recently), but I suck in quote recognition.
Everybody wants to be Cary Grant.
Even Me.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

Yep!! You found it.
I don’t know either. It’s like I can ask different questions, but every time I select the most stupid one.
