Any news of Bracken Tor or The Last Crown?
Is October finally the month for Blackenrock? I’m encouraged with the recent Gamescom appearance. I replayed The Lost Crown recently too and the game is a masterpiece of mood and storytelling. I focused on the shortcomings my first playthrough and gave it 7/10. It’s up to a 9 or 9.5/10 after the last playthrough.
Completely agree, although I would have given it a 9/10 on my first playthrough too. The small but good changes in the game mechanics in the enhanced version made it an even more pleasant experience replaying it a few months back.
One of the most important things they changed in the updated version is the ability to skip dialogue! ‘Hellooooooo!’
I also recently replayed The Lost Crown and Midnight Horror, needed a refresh after all these years!

Still no sign of Blackenrock. Is Boakes still alive?
Last twitter from august 25.
Not interesting enough to repeat here I presume?
Such a pity: this guy has made quite a few amazing adventure games, en with this one suddenly all has gone pear-shaped. I guess we’ll never know what the real reason is.

Oh yes, he’s alive. Here’s a link to the december announcement at Steam by publisher Iceberg about the delay of the game.

An estimated playthrough time of one hundred hours. Sorry Mr Boakes, but that is not necessarily a good thing. The game must be extremely good to hold my interest that long.

Every time they have a new excuse about why it’s taking so long.
Aren’t you happy he’s still alive and working on it?

Poor Mr Boakes. Can’t a man these days work on a game in peace?

If he wants peace he shouldn’t make announcements like this Halloween, 1st quarter next year, final touches, almost there, etcetera.

Yeah. No mercy for him I’m afraid.

...there is an asset-stop and scene-stop, the developer is working on putting all scenes and puzzles together, which is proving a very challenging job for a team of 2 people.
Seems like they haven’t even started bug testing it yet. With a 100 hours long game and a team consisting of 2 people it’s pretty safe to say that the games release is very far away.
