Yes, indeed! This was an unintentionally tricky one since I realized later that the 2013 Kosher Edition, which is the one that I’ve played and used clips from, has an updated soundtrack. (This may have made it hard to guess if anyone here played the original 2006 version instead.)

Let me answer that with a triumphant theme!

For anyone who maybe played SQ4 a long time ago but is wondering what the hint meant (“Be careful what you flush down the toilet in this game or you won’t hear this music”), it was a reference to a minor joke in the game if you delete the SQ4 icon. But if instead you do what you’re supposed to do and delete the security and brain applications on the supercomputer, then the first music clip I posted, Format Countdown, begins playing as the game moves toward its climax.

And now for something completely different: A few years ago (on page 3 of this thread), I had the idea for a weird little experiment. It worked out better than I expected, and I’ve wanted to to do follow-up ever since. Well, here we are: The 60-second medley, Part II.

Rules:
(Shamelessly stolen from Caliburn, who stole them from DarkEye, who stole theme from me.)

1) The file contains 19 pieces of music from 19 different games. You have to identify what game they’re from.

2) Post your guesses in the thread using spoiler tags. You can only make a limited number of guesses per round so that everyone gets a chance to participate.

3) When posting your guesses, please give the song number, using the track sheet given at the end of this post for reference.

4) Music is generally the original, but some MIDI music may be enhanced. Also bear in mind that not all the games are PC games, but I stuck to stuff that should be well-known on these forums.
