^^^If you do a search for Syberia or Riven you can find a download for the game for free.  That would tell me it is no different than the others. Just saying…...

My thought is that a free download for Syberia which is very much accessible is going to be illegal & I guess for Riven too? But Timequest is a 1991? game so I don’t know?

Sorry to disagree Bonsai as the fact is that you can get a download for almost any game for free if you use ‘pirate’ sites but there is a difference in that you can access older games from legitimate sites that specialise in free downloads/or on-line playing of those games that now wouldn’t work on modern systems otherwise. I will retract my vote for Timequest if the site is proved not to be providing me with a legal means of playing the game.

I believe it is legal. Check out this article:

archive.org is recognized as a library by the state of California.

Btw, the best way to have your game elected for a CP is to be in charge of the vote count.
That goes for all kinds of elections.

I just thought after some digression I would return to the point of this thread which is to guess zobrak’s screenshot ...I don’t know the name of the game myself!  Laughing

Thanks for that Karlok! I’m assuming the browser link is legal since TimovieMan posted it!  Innocent

Since it’s The Internet Archive (which specializes in public domain media), and since you can’t actually download it, I’m going to go with ‘legal’, yes.

Edit: I should have refreshed this page, SoccerDude’s article explains it better. Tongue

Last year, I watched a Dutch docu on tv called Digital Memory Loss. Very interesting to see The Internet Archive and learn more about it. Jason Scott was also in the docu. He made Get Lamp, the marvelous docu about text adventures, with developers like Brian Moriarty, Steve Meretzky, Bob Bates, and all the others.

Get Lamp is also on youtube, which is one hundred percent legal, thanks to Jason Scott.

Nah, it’s too boring, I’d like to discuss macrame instead.
Now, which is your favo(u)rite knot? My favo(u)rite knots are Celtic knots. They are highly artistic, interwoven designs that are not very well known. They are beautiful, and perfect for making handcrafted jewelry as well as fashion accessories.
I tied my first Celtic knot back in 1997. Those were the days…

Your video shows a knotty problem, although it’s not Celtic. Smile  I’ll guess Future Wars.

No problem chrissie. I respect your opinion. Being able to download 100% copyrighted games like Syberia for free makes the site suspect or not policed properly imo. Maybe I am wrong….wouldn’t be the first time.  Playing Timequest Online is probably legit.

Oh really? Is this because of the cemetery or that mean-looking bird?  Yum
