Adventure Game Backlog Help.

Like many others I have a huge backlog of unplayed games on my laptop, many of which are adventure games.
I aim to play as many as I can without buying more!
So of the following list, what are the better ones in your opinions?
(ones that I should get on a play NOW!)
and are there any on here that are maybe not worth bothering with..?
These are just the adventure games I haven’t played before, many of which I don’t know a lot about.
thanks.

The Book Of Unwritten Tales
Resonance
The Raven
Deponia
Dark Fall
Edna & Harvey - The Breakout
Samarost 2
Myst 4 (had this for years and never cracked it open. played the first 3)
The Dig (prob the only lucasarts adventure i’ve never played)

Get some momentum going by playing Samorost 2. It’s short, about an hour or less. Knock that off and maybe you’ll be inspired to keep moving through your backlog.

Did you play Samorost 1? It isn’t necessary, but it’s free and it’s short (10-15 minutes) and in my opinion it’s pretty great. Play in browser right here:

Point a finger eyes closed at one ,and that is a good start to your backlog:D

maybe need to think-of/consider Myst 4,and The Dig difficulty , The Raven linearity and Resonance awkward game-playing

I would play them in this order:

The Book Of Unwritten Tales
Edna & Harvey - The Breakout
Resonance
Deponia
The Dig

And I’m not sure I would bother with the rest.

The Dig (prob the only lucasarts adventure i’ve never played)

You have a LucasArts adventure you’ve never played? And you’re wondering which game to play next?? This should be the easiest decision you’ve ever made in your life! You should play The Dig! Now!! Tongue

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

The Dig is fantastic,  I’d start with that.

Resonance awkward game-playing

Wasn’t awkward at all for me.  Best gameplay I’ve seen in so long, and totally beatable without a walkthrough, while still being reasonably difficult.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I think I will play Samarost for a quick hit, then The Dig, to get that last Lucasarts one ticked off.
Then probs onto Book of Unwritten Tales, which seems heavily praised.

I’d put “Dark Fall” at the top of that list as well. The best horror game to some - very atmospheric and features a spooky story that will enthrall you.

I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.
