Movie/TV/Band Homages in AGs
Should all of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones homages in every single Lucasarts game even count? There’s really too many to list.
How a person wants to participate in this thread is up to them. I simply started the ball rolling. Just don’t blame me if it takes out a small village on the way down…
Okay, I’ve got some more for today:
Connections (1995)
Ghostbusters (1984)
Bazooka Sue (1997)
The Birds (1963)
Simon the Sorcerer 3D (2002)
Forrest Gump (1994)
PC means personal computer
Nice additions by everyone so far. I’ve got more to add myself of course, so here we go:
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers (1993)
The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)
Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon (1997)
Star Trek 2x19: A Private Little War (1968)
The creature is called a mugato BTW.

Nice Diego. Your BttF movie shot also works for this:
Runaway: A Road Adventure (2001)
Back to the Future (1985)
Also, the puzzle from the same scene later in the game:
Runaway: A Road Adventure (2001)
pays homage to:
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Here’s some more for today:
Simon the Sorcerer 2: The Lion, the Wizard and the Wardrobe (1995)
I’m not sure of the exact Mr. T reference here, but I’m going to go with:
The A-Team (1983-1987)
Sam & Max Hit the Road (1993)
The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
Actually not sure that the Toonstruck reference purposely refers to Doc Brown’s hat contraption. It could just be that the character is in an electric chair. Clearly the Runaway shot is an intentional reference.
Book of Unwritten Tales (2012)
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Too obvious?

Discworld Noir (1999)
Casablanca (1941)
