The power of first person and realtime 3D

I just came across two adventure games in the works that use realtime 3D and the first person perspective: Homesick and Among the Sleep.  Both games really show the immersive power of realtime 3D.  You can see how the world around you changes dynamically and affects the mood of the moment. This is the direction that I believe adventure games need to go. There is a limit to what static 2D environments can provide. With full 3D engines developers can make truly interactive worlds to explore.

Among the sleep
You play as a 2 year old when strange things happen at night.

Homesick
