RTG has two games on plate after this, 2D April game might make it.

Ragnar:

It would be lovely to make that game one day. It’s got a great story, it would look beautiful, and it fills in a lot of gaps left wide open in the saga. We have a few other games we want to do first, though, and it also depends on where Funcom’s at in the future. Hopefully they’re still around. Maybe they decide to make their own games in the TLJ universe. Could be interesting, I guess.

So. Yeah. In a few years it might be fun to start thinking about maybe making TLJH. If the stars align, etc. We’ll see. But not for a while.

But it doesn’t look like it will be any time soon, another 8-10 years from now perhaps?!?

Looks like he got funding by Govt which he will use on new ip after Draugen, so yeah.

I am excited about Draugen, Scandanavian lore ftw.

Dreamfall project is a disaster i heard , he said.
Sales not good.
He thought individual eps will sell like hotcakes to fund others but no, bust.
Not to mention unity debacle and delays.

The funding is I believe only for pre-production of [Codename Svalbard], just like they also got some grants for pre-production of Chapters and Draugen, they will still have to fund most of the game themselves.

Where did you hear that?
So far Ragnar and RTG has maintained that Chapters are selling more or less as expected, and that they are doing fine financially.

Really Iznogood, you should know better than to put any stock in nomadsoul’s usual bullshit

Well, gog is giving the game for free* in the same week the final episode is released, that can’t be a good sign of the game doing well. Steamspy is at 185000, not bad but the game has been part of a humble bundle that usually inflates numbers. It still has PS4 to increase sells.
I just hope it doesn’t end in a cliffhanger.

Soooo.. in other words, you are just quoting random sources, that don’t actually know the slightest thing about how much the game has sold or the financial situation at RTG, but are just posting their opinion about the game.

Sure they haven’t become rich by making DFC, but the official word from RTG

When Ragnar promised a BigNo to Episodes on KS pitch and then pulled 180, i stopped taking it as offical word, he has no integrity imo.

Nomad, did you play it?, i think if you did, you would forgive and forget all cons which are said or done or even to be done, yet…

i.e. i didnt see anyone complain about the downgrade from Unreal to Unity because this game is just fabulous no matter what.

Only ep1 and loved it even with bad performance now waiting for ps4 ver.
It was upgraded to unity5 , even on old unity before 5 , whiteknights here were defending the performance issue. I never used ue4, imho.
Ragnar has got great chops , still, when it comes to writing but his integrity is long lost as a person.
Well thats my opinion, i dont worship game makers, all humans are equal.

It’s considerably improved by the move to Unity 5, though. But of course if you’re trying to run it on a 6 year old video card, yeah PS4 might be the way to go.
