Remember the thread When do you usually Quit?, well deponia3 has that exact moment referring to, when I thought
rufus3 need the yrk key and its well known he is at the Ascension Station while Rufus2 who has this flyer with yrk key and there that Ascension Station which is obvious as a hotspot! there, I tried to click flyer with yrk on it and it doesn’t work, but HELL it works when you click it on the therapist.
!!!!

Well the YRK key was kind of a red herring, but I don’t mind, h… I even enjoy it when they throw a few red herrings into a game. I actually found this one quite funny.

The 3 Rufus’s was my favorite puzzle segment of the series because I always felt like I had something to try, whenever I hit a dead end I could just go to another rufus and do things.

Yeah it was one of my favourite parts too, for the very same reason.

Finished it yesterday. I’ve mostly enjoyed this series, and this last installment was no different… until the ending. I found it so strange and out of character that I was convinced it was an alternate ending, rather than the “true” ending, but it seems there’s only one.

Yeah, me too.

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

Old thread eh. Smile

I’ve played the trilogy now and just finished Goodbye Deponia today.
I have to say I have no complaints, thoroughly enjoyed them all. Well, the only complaint was Rufus’ annoying ‘Ruuuuuuuuufus, ruuuuuuuuuuufus, yeaaaaaaaaah,  etc” which was irritating at times. As lead voice acting goes though, this guy Kerry Shale is right up there with the best, if not THE best (alongside Tim Curry and Rolfe Saxon in particular). Brilliant delivery of his lines, extremely funny, probably one of the funniest game series I’ve played.

Loved the mix of inventory puzzles and minigames, particularly the minigames such as the tapeworm one and the hoisting Cletus down to the Ascension code room.

But disappointing ending as mentioned in this thread. Why didn’t they have the happy ending with Rufus and Goal together on Elysium! Her truth serum earlier in the game revealed that she loved Rufus and it was sad to see her on the balcony assuming she’ll never see him again. :o(

I wonder if there’s a chance of a fourth installment to tie up loose ends and give us the happy ending.
