Kentucky Route Zero’s the best I’ve played
The Raven’s got lots of hype
But both still have plenty of episodes to go Smile

First, I’ll assume you mean a game released initially in 2013, not a 2011 game we bought in 2013, etc.:

1) Corpse Party: The Book of Shadows - PSV - a true horror game that I found shocking.

2) The Walking Dead - 400 Days - PC - a fun adventure that makes you hunger for Season 2.

However, I’ve played mostly games released in other years so far in 2013 - like “Haunted and Gray Matter for example that would have been on this list.

The 2013 releases I’ve played and enjoyed so far includes:

The Cave 3,5/5
Fester Mudd and the curse of the gold 3/5
Night of the Rabbit 3,5/5
Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded 3/5

Next in line for me is “The Raven” which I have very high hopes for, and then there’s Brothers: a tale of two sons, which was released last night. Both games have received some glowing reviews.

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

So far 2013 has been pretty thin with not a single game that have got me excited, I still have high hopes for Memoria though, it will (hopefully) be released later this month.

I’m with Iznogood here. There is no game this year that I can say it’s good enough to spend your money. But the year is not ended yet…

Technically, Fez came out for PC this year and it is the best adventure game I’ve played of 2013 thus far. Don’t be fooled by the platforming and cube hunting, this game has a myriad of puzzles that reveal many secrets to this world. Ignore the internet drama and try the game out for yourself - you won’t regret it.

Up to this moment, The Night of the Rabbit is by far the 2013s best IMO.
Nice world, excellent graphics/animation/music/voices/characters, interesting story. I highly recommend it.

Oh, I just remembered: Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery

A very good looking Professor Layton style puzzle/adventure game for iOS and Vita.

I haven’t played very many but I agree with the following:
1. Night of the Rabbit (traditional puzzle-based game)
2. Kentucky Route Zero (more of an interactive story type game)

I think you’ll be happy if you pick up those two.

This game looks absolutely gorgeous. However, I wonder how much it’s going to appeal to adventure players? Because it’s described as

Gameplay Hybrid - Action
Action (Compulsory) Combat

So if there’s a lot of combat I can’t see it appealing to point and click fans.
