Broken Sword DC - Portrait Patch
For all of you who don’t like the portraits in the Broken Sword - Director’s Cut, a member of the Revolution forum, who goes by the name of kranmer, has created a patch to remove them!
You can find them here: http://forum.revolution.co.uk/topic/355/?page=2#post-3284
Apparently, this patch works with both the GOG AND Steam versions! I’ve only tried the former though, but it works!
Why would you want to remove it?
Because the portraits aren’t a plus, they’re a huge minus.
If they were animated, then sure, but those weird looking stills, no thanks. I also don’t think the art style fits with the rest of the game.
Excellent, thanks for the heads up!
I shall check this out tonight.

I actually like them.
Why is a patch necessary? Just play the original game.
@inmate..if you want to play the extra content too?

The extra content is in the beginning. Play that in the DC then play the original game. Problem solved.
It’s not solely in the beginning, you have to play through a bit with George too to get to more Nico content. So that’s quite impractical.
Then deal with it? Unless the portraits truly somehow make the gameplay experience unbearable.
Dealing with it is what this patch was made for?
I’m Ron Burgundy?
I doubt it. You don’t have the charm.
Sure I do! That, and a tolerance for still portraits.
(chump chump chump…chomp chomp chomp)....play some more you two…i have some pop corn left.
