I’m not sure if it’s always been this way, but I’ve noticed recently that the “Thread Review” button is available when replying to a post, but not when I go back to edit my reply. Any idea why this is?

(Oddly enough) I’ve never noticed the Thread Review button.

In retrospect, my post was not very clear. Please allow me to clarify.

What I meant was, when I reply to a post there is a “Thread Review” button below the “Message” box where you type in the reply. Clicking on it allows you to see previous posts in reverse order, from latest to those messages prior to it.

However, if I choose to edit my posted reply, the “Thread Review” button isn’t there, so I can’t see what was posted before mine.

In real time, now that I’ve typed my reply into this Message field, I’m taking (and posting) a screenshot of it so you and the forum mods can see what I’m referring to:

I’ve never used that button, Mike, mainly because I usually use Fast Reply and only go to Post Reply when editing.

Edit: I see it does disappear when editing.

And I’ve never used Fast Reply, until now! Didn’t even think to use it because I was just used to using Post Reply. Isn’t it interesting how we can get locked into doing things a certain way? Comfort zones?
