As far as the game…
Grim Catango. It’s been a while, but I think the game made headlines for its distinct portrayal of dead cat in minor role.
On the off-chance (0.00097%) that I’m incorrect with this suggestion, the new screen might help to shed some fur light

I didn’t know there was a sequel.
Btw, I enjoyed playing Yoomurjak’s Ring very much for a while and then I hit some vine cellar (I didn’t get drunk, it was a cellar in the game) and couldn’t move ahead from then on, so I stopped playing it*. YR is definitely my kind of game, but I remember it being too complex (even) for me.
For instance, there was (almost) a full book about the siege of Eger to be read (in order to comprehend what was going on in the game).
*The game looked so good to me that I didn’t want to use a walkthrough.

I just checked the screenshots. You’re right. And what’s with that title - Miazma or the Devil’s Stone? Is is it a choice between Miazma and the Devil’s Stone, or is Devil’s Stone another name for Miazma?

I have played the game and still don’t know!
It is a good game, maybe not quite on par with Yoomurjak’s Ring.
