Adventure game scene… uh, game (continued)
Must be a very popular game.
Too bad no one plays popular games.Nancy Drew 48: The Ominous Castle, perhaps?
I only play the very best games
Nancy who?
What’s that one set inside a high school called again? Released 1 or 2 years ago. Can’t remember much about it except the students were protesting against something & there was an industrious kid running a smuggling operation.
Sorry Mr McGee, TimovieMan is right in that it seems you’re thinking of St Christopher’s School Lockdown (I don’t remember the smuggling though) & Karlok is right in that it’s not the right answer!
This is a more recent very short game that seems to have slipped under the radar:
Aha. It’s a Short Story, is it? The Death of Erin Myers?
Aha. It’s a Short Story, is it? The Death of Erin Myers?
I’m not sure that being a short story would be much of a clue as there’s quite a few games that clock up just a few hours but yes indeed you’re right Phlebas!
It’s apparently the 1st of an anthology of 5 games which tie-up eventually.
Your turn.
Here we go then!
is it JEWELS OF DARKNESS?
I sincerely hope it is; otherwise the thread gets stuck for another month week or two.
Everybody wants to be Cary Grant.
Even Me.
-Cary Grant
From what I remember, Jewels of Darkness was a trilogy rather than an individual game. It isn’t any of the games from that trilogy, but you’re on the right track!
The Archers?
The Archers?
It is indeed! One of the more unusual licensed games.
You can actually play it online as some clever person has made a Scratch interpreter for the the Level 9 adventures:

Chrissie’s turn!
Thanks for the info Phlebas.
It had to be a fairly down-to-earth game so not too difficult to find.
Next:
The blanked-out words give the title of this game away:
Colors remind me of The Curse of Midnight Mannor, Delaware Saint John.
I’ll guess On Assignment, Chrissie.
“Rainy days should be spent at home with a cup of tea and a good book.” -Bill Watterson
No, none of the Delaware St John games or On Assignment.
It’s a side-scrolling adventure released in the last few years.
is it a freeware?
