The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
13 min demo of how the game works.
This is something truly special! Them graphics , music and mystery.
Evolution of AG in right direction.
and biggest surprise
PC rel date Sept. 25, and PS4 sometime next year.
Like next month.
Icing on the cake = Inspired from lovecraft.
Cool. Only thing I’m not sold on is seeing the items you need to find before you find them. It suggests a lack of faith in the environment design.
Funny to see an indie adventure game dev do the “see that mountain” schtick. Still looking forward to it.
I’m not sure if you guys have seen this or not, but it’s a mystery adventure with some amazing graphics and some interesting concepts:
Sorry about the large images!
Yes, you can read about it here - http://www.adventuregamers.com/forums/viewthread/1543/
The graphics stunned me the first time I saw it, but now I’m eager to see the substance of it.
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
The concept of piecing a murder scene together like this is pretty much the same to what it was in Murdered: Soul Suspect and look how that turned out. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter does look very nice though and I like how you can explore.
Looks very good.
Went to the developers’ site to preorder it. But they want me to pay 18.99 euros when I can get it for 19.99 dollars at GOG.com. A difference of five dollars. I hate it when Europeans have to pay more.

This definetly looks yummy, let’s just hope the game is good as well.
I’m not sure what to think about the gameplay, but for me this is one of the most interesting games recently.
Can we walk freely, as far as the surrounding allows?
Some parts seem like the camera moves on narrowly predefined rails.
I do hope you can move freely in the environment. It would be a real shame, if this ends up being on rails. I really loved the exploration in Gone Home, with all the trinkets and objects you could manipulate (despite most of it was just for the show).
I think this game is gonna be fantastic, for what I’ve seen so far. But you better have a pretty good graphic card to play it with sets on the highest, I guess.
It would be a real shame, if this ends up being on rails.
Pun intended?

That floating interface action was terrible.
Hope this will be optional, kinda interface that gives hints without asking nothin but storykiller.
“Going on means going far - Going far means returning”
Nope this is how gameplay works pretty same like Murdered Soul Suspect.
In that case ui should be positioned like subs, floating allover the screen kills
immersion too.
“Going on means going far - Going far means returning”
It didn’t bother me at all. I’m still very much looking forward to this game.
