Assassin’s Creed Unity / Rogue
I know it’s been leaked but don’t really want to see it because of spoilers.
The combat works the same way?

Yeah same spammish and easy combat.
One Gaffer is right that they should change the health/mechanic of enemies, since its
easy its feels idiotic to keep spamming to kill them.
There are investigation side missions like Sherlack , which seems interesting.
Paris setting makes it more better.
Edit:
No spoilers,

Combat = Torture and Comedy
An entire revamp of the combat system is what this series needs… It’s ridiculous that it’s possible to kill 20 enemies in a row only with the timing of a button.
Reviews are hitting and it’s not seeming like great news.
Averaging 6 or 7 scores.
Amazing to look at, but the game runs like shit with bad framerates and glitches all over the place.
Also seems like the gameplay has gone for quantity rather than quality of side missions. There is a ton of stuff to do, but none of it is interesting any more.
I think they got away with it last year becasue of the boat mechanics, but this game has been in need of a major gameplay reboot since AC3.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

This series has lost it, and Ubisoft insists on running it to the ground, with their aggressive yearly updates (This year we even get 2). It’s a very aggressive schedule that will no doubt have negative impact on the quality of the series.
It would be fascinating to see the game still scoring 7+ million sales.
Glitches! Glitches everywhere!
What are doing Ubi? If the game is not ready just postpone the release… I think it will still sell well because it looks great (when it’s moving) for a casual viewer but it will probably hurt the franchise for next years…
Rogue impressions seem to be better.
Edit: Game also has tons of (optional) microtransactions and some stuff locked behind the companion app…..... Franchise almost ruined…
That 10 studios output, glad W3 got delayed and CDP will hopefully show them how openworld is done , i think even DAge will show them.
But its their biz strategy to keep Ubi afloat by 7+ mill heavy hitter annually.
Franchise will ruin IF the sales suck, which remains to be seen.
Justiccaaa!
Ubisoft stock drops over 9% after Assassin’s Creed Unity launch.

This journalist has some really nasty things to say about ubi, going as far as comparing it to a new EA.

All deserved.
Played the game for 2 hours. Didn’t get any major bugs but the amount of glitches and low framerate in open areas is incredible. Even AC3 that has a fair amount of technical problems was not do bad.
It’s telling that they created a blog for the updates

The game was just not finished!!
Also the very first chest in the game needs the companion app to open… Who the hell thought that was a clever idea!!!
