Adventure game scene… uh, game (continued)
Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space ???
That’s not correct, unfortunately.
Perhaps another shot will help:
this is so Delphine artwork style, is it Future Wars?
No, it isn’t Future Wars.
Here’s yet another shot:
Ah-ha! It’s Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders!

What?!?
I don’t recognize any of those screens and they look WAY too recent.
Are these from a VGA remake or something?

Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
There were many versions of Zak. If it is the right answer, then I assume that those screenshots come from the FM Towns version, which had superior graphics (not necessarily in the artistic sense) compared to the other versions.

Yes!
The screenshots are indeed from the 1991 FM Towns version. If you buy the game from GOG.com those are the default graphics.
Bloody hell, this is the first I hear of this. If only I’d known when I played this years ago…
I have the DOS version…

Our game database has screenshots from this version as well as the DOS ones.
I’ll be back soon with another screenshot.

You should have learned by now that Bastich’s screenshots (ONLY pngs, NEVER jpgs and such; he considers the latter a blasphemy) are far superior to anything you can find in a whole wide Internet.
I was flabbergasted by them some ten years ago, but right now I wouldn’t be surprised if he presented a crispy screenshot from Mystery House.

Might that be Timelapse?

No, it’s not, SpeedBo.
