E3 2016
Stayed up for Microsoft but slept through the PC and Ubisoft conference. Wanted to jot down some thoughts before Sony wines and dines us.
I was really keen for Phil Spencer to make the case on why people need a third current gen console and it was a commendable job for your core gamer.
The indie sizzle reel was the highlight for me. I’m still very eager to play Cuphead and We The Happy Few looks amazing. I dare say that this site should put the game on its hype-o-meter.
Does anyone think Microsoft left themselves way too open with announcing the specs of Project Scorpio though? I can just imagine Sony sweeping in and saying “4K? Well, we’re getting ready for 8K and PS4s are now $200!”These are all just promises at the moment and that footage of the devs and producers talking about the strengths of Project Scorpio was way too reminiscent of when Nintendo unveiled the WiiU in 2011 or so.
I caught the South Park trailer mocking the Marvel cinematic universe this morning. I’m still completely hyped but I haven’t seen the gameplay footage yet.
Its Steam machine multiple sku bluff.
Games utilizing Scorpio wont be out till 2018 end.
Sell your slim by then.
Some customers dont require extra frames or 4k output, dont eve have TV, and interest in VR.
So its good to give choice than forcing one down the throat.
Spencer is a smooth talker though, check this vid
Hardware is as good as your software, i think ps4 will keep on selling regardless of specs.
Frostbite scorpio vs neo comparisons coming 2017.

God of War - More Dark Souls/Tomb Raider like than the style of the old games. Behind the shoulder 3rd person. Looks Awesome.
Days Gone - Post Apocalypse game with motorbiking bounty hunter. Looks fantastic. Hyped
Last Guardian - October 26th
Horizon - Looks amazing. I want this now.
Detroit - New playable character. Looks excellent.
Resident EVII - Looks terrifying and just a bit PT. Fantastic. Also in VR. Demo today.
VR Games:
Farpoint - Other planet shooter in VR
X WIng VR Mission for Battlfront - Star Wars VR
Batman Arkham VR
Final Fantasy XV trailer for VR Experience
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare - Eve Valkrie style then some weightless shooting. Look ok.
COD Modern Warfare - This looks better. I would play this again.
Crash Bandicoot - Remastered 3 games and an appearance in Skylanders.
Lego Star Wars - Force Awakens was funny
Hideo Kojima on stage - Norman Reedus holding a baby. He had a section…WTF is this. Called “Death Standing”
Spiderman - OMG that looked cool.
Days Gone - Playable looking very Last of Us. Oh there is a TON of zombies in this.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
