Adventure game scene… uh, game (continued)

Tim,
for me it depends. Sometimes I take a screenshot from a game I’m currently playing or have recently played, but since my signature holds most of those games, I tend to just pick a semi-random game, look for a good screenshot from a site (or from a YouTube playthrough) and crop it somewhat so Google Images doesn’t recognize it.
As for recognizing other’s screenshots, usually the ones I find are from games I’ve actually played, or else they’re from games with a recognizable style or where I’ve seen enough screenshots to connect the dots.
Diego, I LOL’d.
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

rtrooney - 15 January 2021 08:37 PMhow many images are from games the poster actually played. And, conversely, how many correct answers come from people who actually played the game?
This thread is like a good movie that everyone can enjoy on a different level. Even you enjoy watching it, without actually playing. When I started playing this thread, it was fun for me to post the screenshots from the games I played, then I realized it’s also fun to post screenshots from those I haven’t. Then, it became “adventure” in itself to find the game by researching adventure content on the web. I’m sure many “veterans” of the thread think and do the same. My aim is to impress with an interesting screenshot and provide a challenge first, and if I played that game, even better.
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale

Earthworms.
Never played, but the graphics were distinctive enough for me to remember. Looks very Lynch-inspired

And now for something completely different:
Edit: Sorry, but it came out darker than I than I thought it would.
Edit 2: I lightened it a bit.
