What a great amount of work! Thanks for putting in the time.

I’ll add a song to the quiz soundtrack:

You kids got no idea! Apart from Chrissie’s Steppenwolf track there’s only one other that really fits in with her quiz and that’s:

Life is what it is.

The Gone Jackals would disagree! These can all fit.

*Editted to add a spoiler tag, as Googling the above could inform answers.

Thankyou diego, IronCretin & Jabod for the contribution of some great tracks to go with the quiz!
Thumbs Up

I settled on Steppenwolf’s track as I thought the title doubled as a good one for the quiz, but I originally was going to post this one:  Hawkwind

Another biking song I really like is this one: CCR

All contributions for a quiz soundtrack are & will be gratefully received!

I could really go overboard with that invitation Gasp
Bit of background.

I first got on a motorbike when I was 4 or 5 years old, never held a car licence only a motorbike one, and I’m now in my mid seventies. But, for a time, I was on the road a lot as Desk Top boss for a nationwide (UK) company but was driven by a member of my staff or one of the Network team depending on what we off sorting out. To while away the driving time as I was (obviously!) always a passenger I created what I called a “go faster” tape. Maybe not the best idea for the driver concerned if s/he reacted to the tape but it wasn’t my licence at risk Tongue Not sure how many tracks I can recall but Steppenwolf was definitely on it but not Chris Spedding as I don’t particularly like it.
Worry not though as I’m not going to try to replicate that here but I may well add a track or two.

Great quiz Chrissie and it must have taken you hours to sort out. Sadly there’s only one I recognise right now (IronCretin’s spoilerd one but I reckon that one will be known by all here) however one of the bikes I actually owned is showing. The picture is either an 800cc or 1000cc version but as I owned both over the years I’ve definitely ridden it Smile

Great quiz, Chrissie!  My biker man would have approved!

Oh, man… what a soundtrack and a band! Nostalgia at its best!

Here’s one more “soft rock” song that goes well with the theme, I really like this one:

chrissie, sorry for derailing the thread into a music one, I hope you and your biker gang will forgive me! Cool

You’re completely forgiven diego because it’s a PM quiz so the thread itself is completely open for derailment!

@ Jabod, I’ve been aware for a number of years that you were a biker & love your recollection of being driven around! I hope, since diego started it, that you will add more tracks. Meanwhile you’ve given me an idea as last time I posted a quiz I ended up as well as posting a score I added some fun achievements so maybe I can do that if you can identify the bikes?

As for the time it takes to present the quiz, yes, but I gather the screenshots over a number of years usually. Unfortunately my computer completely crashed a couple of years ago so I had to start from scratch to acquire those for the present quiz. I know that there are some gems I found previously that I just can’t find again.

Thank you Lady kestrel.  Smile

Cool quiz!  Would have been epic if you had 100 pictures heh heh.  I like the classic song ‘Radar Love’ by Golden Earring.  Puts me in the cruisin’ around mood

Going back to the soundtrack for this quiz there are several tracks that would be obvious to add - The Shangri-La’s and Twinkle being straightforward examples - but don’t give that oomph or feeling of being a biker. For the moment I can’t remember many of the tracks I did on the aforementioned “go faster” tape but Black Sabbath’s Paranoid was definitely there as was Love Sculpture’s Sabre Dance. But two different tracks I’ll offer up in keeping with what I think belongs on this soundtrack:

As good as all these songs are, they make me wonder whether people stopped riding motorbikes beyond the 70s and 80s?

I’ve only been on a motorbike twice, once on a farm (dirt bike) and another time in Vietnam. This song for me captures the feeling of speed, acceleration and freedom pretty well (though I’m quite fond of Judas Priest so your mileage may vary Sarcastic)

Perhaps music stopped rather than the bike riding?  Grin
