Text Adventure Playthrough #2: Spider And Web
Maybe we can crawl unnoticed through the ceiling space across the red line?

Hmm I think we should combine somehow the pushbutton with the voice module and put it on the black panel near the logistics office and then go to the coridor boundary.
Then right before crossing the dotted line we activate that panel so that the guards would rush there and we could cross the line without being caught. Or something like that…
Yeah, but we obviously have to do exactly what the interrogator tell us. He’s our Groundhog predicting the weather. And he says we’ve been up the ceiling.

>climb large crate
You climb up on the larger crate.
>x ceiling
Wide rectangles cover the ceiling with the grey, dimpled texture of good acoustical insulation. Between the panels are the glowing strips which illuminate the area.
>open ceiling
That’s not something you can open.
I’ve been playing around a bit, and it seems the interrogator doesn’t necessarily say the same thing when you repeat a wrong action.
Not ideal for a playthrough, but there you go. It’s easier to stumble upon things when you have the game in front of you.
Having said that, don’t assume this panel puzzle is a difficult one. You might be overthinking it.

And when you’ve done what Abnaxus said…

>read keywords
The keywords for the voice transmitter are “tango” to switch on, and “waltz” to switch off. In your voiceprint only, of course.
>attach voice transmitter to voice module
The voice transmitter doesn’t have a link; it works through the voice module.
>attach voice module to pushbutton
You can’t connect two positive links together.
>d
You get down off the larger crate.

Corner At Doors
The hallway runs both east and south from here. There’s a featureless metal door to the west, which is closed; a more normal one stands open to the north.
One of the ceiling panels is missing, leaving a rectangular gap above you.
>x gap
The hole is about two feet by three. Through it, you can see the actual concrete ceiling, a few inches above the acoustical panelling.
>x ceiling
Wide rectangles cover the ceiling with the grey, dimpled texture of good acoustical insulation. Between the panels are the glowing strips which illuminate the area. One of the panels is missing, leaving a dark gap.
>x walls
The walls are faced with tough white composite. They are smooth and blank, except for one ventilator grille near the ceiling.
>x floor
The floor is featureless white tile.
A few inches… no crawling then. Maybe the ventilator?
> x ventilator
> open it
> look in it
Butter my buns and call me a biscuit! - Agent A
>x ventilator
A plastic grille is visible high on the wall, just below the ceiling. One corner is stamped “VEN DUCT J-10.”
>open ventilator
The ventilator grille is a bit beyond your reach.
>look in ventilator
You can’t see anything behind the closed grille.
> jump to ventilator
> jump to gap
Oh and
> tango
Butter my buns and call me a biscuit! - Agent A
>jump
You bend and leap. Your fingers brush the edge of the hole—catch, and you concentrate on holding on. Your feet swing gently a foot above the floor.
Uh! A sharp edge is digging into one finger. You shift your grasp hastily, but a few drops of blood smear across the hole’s lip.
See? Not too hard at all! And if you cross the lower red line a second time, the interrogator says “You’re forgetting the blood traces again. Don’t pretend you didn’t jump up to that missing panel. Now, what did you do there?”
>tango
You say the keyword. The voice module’s link dot flashes green in confirmation, but as it isn’t linked to anything, that’s all.
It takes 2 too tango…
You can climb now, right?
>climb
>up
The space above the ceiling panels is only a few inches high. You can’t fit into it.
No? Huuuuummm
>look inside gap
