[Archived] Time for a new community playthrough?

Well, since I put myself forward as a leader for the Obsidian playthrough, I obviously vote for it.

One thing to note is that I might be away from the web for a couple of weeks in late June. Given the customary pace of playthroughs, I don’t think that would necessarily even be noticed but I thought I should put it out there just in case.

I can also vote in Cat Lady and Amnesia. I started those recently but I’m still at the beginning and can wait to see if there is community playthrough.

Is Obsidian available digitally anywhere?

I’m still in for Obsidian.

Good thing I hold on to all my games.

That’s too bad, so I can’t vote for it because I’ll probably never find it.

For all it’s worth, you can get used physical copies for pretty cheap on Amazon (and presumably eBay). But if you live in a country that’s not covered by Amazon, or you don’t do physical media or online shopping, that’s totally understandable.

I’m trying to avoid physical media, but I still get the occasional adventure. I’ve digged around and there are some copies but the shipping costs for my country are kind of prohibitive.

The results so far:

Obsidian: TerminusEst (leader), Sefir, Dara100, diego, TimovieMan, millenia
AVS: Sefir (possible leader), TimovieMan, wilco, Siddhi, CoyoteAG, millenia
Keepsake: diego (possible leader), Sefir, millenia
Amnesia: Sefir (leader), wilco
The Cat Lady: Sefir (leader), wilco, CoyoteAG, millenia
Discworld 1: Sefir (leader), CoyoteAG, millenia
Dreamfall: Sefir (leader), CoyoteAG

Kinda dissapointed from the small number of people voted…
Obsidian and AVS are in front with 6 votes each. TCL follows with 4. Extremely small numbers for a community playthrough…
Perhaps more participants will come by to vote this week.

I would join the playthrough for Obsidian, A Vampyre Story, or even Amnesia.  I don’t think the others work on a Mac.

I’d love to play Obsidian but last time when we almost voted it through we concluded you couldn’t get it working on Windows 7 without a virtual PC running an earlier Windows. I haven’t played AVS yet and it doesn’t have that problem so I’ll have to vote for that.

Er… There’s a(n?) Obsidian DOSBox installer.

I can’t promise I’ll take part in any playthrough anytime soon, but I would like to lurk on an Obsidian playthrough.

I vote for Obsidian, AVS or Discworld 1, but will join any playthrough that will take place Smile
