Thibaut Courtois had the balls to basically say the trainer should draw his conclusions after the match. He needs to be captain of the team. He can be player/manager as far as I’m concerned. Forget Kompany. Courtois is our man.
Good start for 15 minutes, and then the same deal as always: slowing down, falling back, and generally not playing good enough. If we play like that and we face opponents who play as a solid team, we’re worthless.
Wales had a plan, and executed that perfectly. Our plan is “hoping Hazard or Debruyne do something awesome”, and when the need is highest making things worse by putting Fellaini on the pitch. That’ll give us a creative boost… 
Wilmots should have been sacked three years ago never been made head coach. Lombaerts was injured but would’ve been back now. There was no reason to leave him at home and bring in Kabasele who’s not ready yet. There was no reason to leave Chadli and Musonda at home but bringing Fellaini along.
And if there’s one thing clear from our last 50+ matches, it’s that having both Hazard AND Debruyne on the pitch DOES. NOT. WORK. They play at entirely different speeds. The match vs Hungary was the first time in 70 caps for Hazard where it worked.
Now it’s time for a manager that actually knows how to put the best players on the pitch and select a good tactics so we finally have a TEAM instead of a bunch of talented individuals.
