Thank you Sefir for hosting such a lovely playthrough & to all of the participants in the thread that made it such an interesting & good experience!! I got so much more out of the game than I did the first time through just by joining in! Ta!

If you’re feeling a slight anti-climax at the mo, with sadly the failure of the kickstarter for the prequel & no AVS sequel immediately on the horizon, try Bill Tiller’s following game Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island that has similar style graphics, humour & good voice acting - I’m loving it so far! ( Thanks for the recommendation Iznogood!)

Your welcome (though it wasn’t only me that recommend it)

A tad Horribly late, but I’ve finished the game this evening. Will post my thoughts tomorrow.

I’m (kinda) stuck in front of the Stadium… although, there’s probably much more I haven’t done yet in this part. This is the best part of the game IMO. I’m trying not to miss many hotspots.

Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale

If, after 3-4 days, you are still stuck, I’ll offer you a subtle hint…

I’ve made some progress, although it was mainly talking to people and collecting some items I’ve missed. I’m still stuck at the Stadium. Grin

Also, it took me a while to find this location:

which I remember from the last time I’ve played, but couldn’t seem to find it quickly this time (I thought it was somewhere near the snowman screen).

BTW, I can’t be the only one still playing. Come on guys… ANYONE? Confused Wink

Did you find a little dress at the dress shop? It should fit Froderick. He will lure the cop into the alley where you can do what you do do so well.

I never found that screen myself. The puzzle took me there automatically.

Heh, I only found it on a second run through all locations. I had missed it the first time around. Concealed alley indeed… Tongue

I love this location:

it reminds me somehow of the Lua Bar in Escape from Monkey Island

Also, two impressions so far about this part:

1) I’ve always thought there’s one more chapter after this, but now I realized there isn’t

2) The last part is even more “open” than I thought - it’s like I’m at the Scabb Island in MI2.

I got fairly chastised for commenting earlier.

As I said earlier, I like your enthusiasm diego, but please, wait for me next time…I am the playthrough leader and the one who gives the green light here, or I may have a hard time to keep everyone on a straight line. Well, green light is on. You have until 10/6 to…find the key that opens the bridge door. You can also try the various comments in hotspots and familiarize with the game’s. characters and interface.

Aaaaand - off we go!

How nice of you to fail to complete CCS and then jump start AVS. Have you no shame?

I understand what you try to do, but you should better leave these matters to me. Otherwise someone might take what you say as bullying/patronizing. And there is no shame in not finishing a playthrough (he is still playing CCS after all)....

But I must ask…why are you looking for other game scenes that remind you of the game you are trying to complete?

I’m afraid it is. Well, this playthrough is still pinned as long as the new playthrough game is still on vote. (and I just noticed that you HAVEN’T put a vote yet. Shame on you! Or perhaps you’ll give it a pass so that you finish CCS and TSB? Tongue )
And don’t tell me you’re not going to finish CCS after AVS! Smile

TimovieMan - 08 July 2013 04:34 PM

A tad Will post my thoughts tomorrow.

Have you forgoten? I don’t want to use any funny AVS captions to show you, you’re late! Wink

BTW, I completely agree with those who said that the game’s “village” part was the best one. A variety of places to explore freely (plus a greater variety of Bill Tiller backgrounds), nice riddles and more characters than the first two parts combined.

I haven’t forgotten. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Every time I planned on starting to write a review, life got in the way. And since I tend to write overly long reviews, I need a great deal of time…  Crazy

You got it, I made an oath to finish AVS and Keepsake (and hopefully CCS after that, as for TSB - I’m waiting for the Special Edition Grin) before anything else. But I’ll see how strong I’m to resist the temptation once you start the playthrough. Tongue

Until you finish your playthrough, you don’t get to call me out on being late with anything. Wink
