Historical And Mystery Games...

I'm searching games like Agatha Christi and Scratches, so therefore I'm interested in games which contains history, mystery and a little bit horror.

I LOVE Agatha Christi - And Then They Were None and Scratches

Does anyone have some suggestions and recommendations?

I appreciate your answers

If you like Agatha Christie there is Murder on the Orient Express, Evil Under the Sun and if you like these mysteries there are a lot of Sherlock Holmes that use a lot of history and mystery in them. I like them as much as I do Agatha Christie.

You might consider Undercover: Operation Wintersun. It's not the most brilliant adventure game but it has to do with espionage during World War 2. Check out the review on this site and see if it interests you.

Sounds to me like you'd enjoy the Gabriel Knight trilogy, the second one in particular. They are full of mysteries, and detailed references to historical events, though with slight alterations to what actually happened. I'd start out with the third Gabriel Knight, though. Not because it's necessarily the best, but the first two came out before Windows got standardized for gaming, so they may be hard to get up and running.

I'd also recommend the Broken Sword games. History, check. Mystery, check. Yep, should fit.

All these games are set in the present, dealing with the past, though. If you want mystery games set in the past that aren't pure fantasy, I can't really think of any except maybeUndercover: Operation Wintersun, which was already mentioned, and I guess you might enjoy the Sherlock Holmes games. Look up reviews of those to see if any catch your interest.

Definitely, Gabriel Knight games.

Also: Laura Bow games, The Last Express, perhaps The Black Dahlia (but it deals with the occult a lot, which I'm not sure if is currently in your range of interest).

Maybe you'll like The Lost Crown. It wasn't my cup of tea, but there is a lot of history involved in the game regarding Anglo Saxons. If that's what you mean.

Barrow Hill, Dark Fall (1 and 2) - I consider these to be similar to Scratches in terms of interface, exploration and overall spooky theme.

Also, check out the recommendations thread which has links to different kinds of themes.

For history/mystery game I can't think of anything better than the Gabriel Knight series: unlike what said Sik, I'd start out with the first one in the series, Sins of the father, and then I'd play them in order: they've a pretty strong environment that grow from chapter to chapter. If you like the Agatha Christie style, perhaps the most suited is the third one anyway, but take my advice: play them in order.

For games like Scratches, I recommend Barrow Hill and if you manage to get it work Amber: Journeys Beyond

A game that plays very similarly to Scratches, yet has a lot of (I think) historical richness, is Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern. But I'd play the Gabriel Knight games, in order, before I'd recommend anything else.

I think you may miss out on great games by limiting yourself like this.

How about Perry Rhodan - futuristic and based over the story of him and his world portraited in many many books/comics.
