Are bolded games good enough to try out. I can spare 1$ but want to know
if they are good passtime.
did you like telltales other sam&max; seasons?
Typically the rule with telltale is: if youre a fan of the IP theyr working with, then you’ll appreciate the game. This definitely applies to back to the future and monkey island.
If you are a fan of the BTTF movies then BTTF is absolutely worth it. It’s not necessarily great (the main complaint around here being that there’s almost no difficulty - my main complaint is that I’d prefer to actually be driving the DeLorean and riding hoverboards around Hill Valley), but they do really well with the license. You get to hear Doc and Jennifer back in their roles, a perfect Marty sound-alike and a cameo by Michael J. Fox himself.
I liked S&M: S3 quite a bit and I think it’s Telltale’s best (pre-Walking Dead). It’s very innovative with game mechanics which is such a rarity with adventure games. Each episode has new and interesting elements.
Tales of Monkey Island is okay, pretty standard post-2000 adventure game that has too much dialogue. I haven’t finished Episode 5 yet.
Jurassic Park got bad reviews but I bought and am looking forward to it for $1. The care Telltale took with BTTF gives me some hope.
So yea I bought JP and ToMI for a dollar each. Thinking about Crash 1. You should also think about Braid if you haven’t played it, it’s a puzzle-platformer that’s heavy on the puzzles.
Very unrelated to adventures but would any of those be good for a 4yo boy?

A 4 year old? I’m not sure how coordinated a 4 year old might be. But Crash Bandicoot 1-3 and Spyro 1-3 are all great action/platformers for all-ages. Maybe more Crash then Spyro, because Spyro has a lot of story, text, and tutorials.

He can use the controller but isn’t ofc very agile with it. He plays Angry Birds mainly (and handles it very well). I just bought Lego Marvel Superheroes to him on PC (probably need to use the pad there too). Pure adventures are kinda out of his league but light puzzles or platforming should work fine. Will check if we can grab one of those Crash games.

Crash, spyro.
My 4 yr old cousins are really good at Burnout and Spiderman(beenox) games so.
Crash mild cartoony nature would do just fine.
Echochrome2 is really good puzzle adventure.
@venkman
Braid i got day1 on XBLA back in the day.
I enjoyed Sam&Max; humor in Pokernight2, so going for that and Back to the future.
For now.
@zane
Did they do any justice to original world and script of MI series or its just
forced??? Yes i am fan of MI but some of pals said it didnt capture the charm
of Tims/Rons trilogy.
ToMI is worth it. A lot of brilliant moments.
Season 3 of Sam&Max; is very different from the two previous sessions. It’s not a bad game but I preferred the other two.
That’s a great sale from PSN. Finally doing some decent Steam-like sales?
Tokyo Jungle for .99 is a robbery such a good game.
From the you asked I’d say at least try Sam and Max 3 and ToMI. I have not played Back to the Future, and avoid Jurassic Park.
ToMI in the first episode is a bit of a letdown but it gets a lot better and funnier around episode 3 if I remember correctly.
Isn’t Jurassic Park Quick-Time-Events the Game?

The QTE wouldn’t be a problem if the game had an interesting story, dialogue choices or wasn’t so ugly.
It’s like Heavy Rain without what makes it good.
Do yourself a favour and get Braid. Albeit no traditional adventure game, the puzzles are really clever.
P.s. Steer away from Jurassic Park.
Edit: Nevermind. Perused the topic after posting and you mentioned you already had it.

Some, just dont put too high expectations and you’ll enjoy being back in the story again. Its worth the dollar.
Well, considering WHERE you put this thread I’m going with the:
“Tales of Monkey Island Bundle.”
I’ve played this and it’s very good. At this price it’s a steal.
I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.
Lay off Jurassic Park unless you’re just a huge fan of the series. The other games are definitely worth the $1 deal though, with Tales of Monkey Island being the best of the set.
