Final Notes
A game must have been commercially released in English for the first time in the previous calendar year to be eligible.
Any series designed to be episodic in nature that was completed in 2022 is eligible, even if the series was begun earlier. Conversely, any series begun in 2022 but still needs to be completed is ineligible.
Ports and remakes of commercial games released in previous years are generally disqualified from contention, though updated re-releases of former freeware games are eligible.
Silver Aggies
We at The Aggie Awards have decided to discontinue the Silver Aggies for now and focus on our two primary awards: the general Aggie Awards and the Readers' Choice Awards. While we loved the idea of the Silver Aggies and recognized the many excellent games nominated for them, we found that they overshadowed our other categories and confused our team and audience.
We want to ensure that the main focus of our awards remains on recognizing the best adventure games of the year. We believe consolidating our categories will allow us to do that more effectively. We will continue to highlight the best games in each of our two remaining categories and celebrate the creativity and innovation of the adventure gaming community.
We want to thank all the games that were nominated for the Silver Aggies over the years, and we look forward to continuing to honor the best adventure games through our main awards categories.
