Dinner is ready. Unfortunately, it's overcooked and tastes like the worst thing you ever ate. And it's all there is to eat in the house...

I wish I had more time to spend on Mass Effect 3...

Whooo hoooo!

You end up in a rift in the space-time-continuum. The world around you freezes and you are the only one who is able to move around. Suddenly you have lots of time to spend on Mass Effect 3!

I wish my dear friend was back home.

Your dear friend returns home, but has moved so that home is now in Australia!

I wish that I would be immune from catching the nasty diarrhoea and vomiting bug poor Mrs Degree has just had.

Poor degree -

*zing*
You now give you nasty bug to a new unsuspecting person but now you get a nasty head cold that last for 3 months.

I wish I could have some quite time.

Shreeeeek!

You find the volume control of the family and now you can turn on and off the sounds they make whenever you want to. Convenient huh?

I wish someone would come and clean my house.

Zeng! Suddenly I'm in your house, with a mop and some rags. After two minutes I get so tired I need to go to bed again. But your little table next to the couch is clean now!

I wish all was behind me and I could enjoy summer.

Vlam! The piece of crap car is gone. In its place is a big American Cadillac ElDorado which Mr. J. uses as a chick magnet.

I wish I had sushi for dinner tonight. But we had that a few days ago so bad luck.

Wowowowowow!

You get a phone call from the restaurant Sushi Heaven telling you you've won a year's consumption of maki rolls. Now you get to eat sushi EVERY DAY!

I wish my son would have his hair cut.

Mmmmm sushi every day! I wouldn't say no to that!

Wham! Your son now has a Neo Nazi haircut.

I wish Mr. J's piece-of-crap car was totally restored and looking and riding as if it just came out of the factory.

Pop!
Mr. J.'s car is now looking and riding as if it just came out of the factory. Unfortunately, it came out on a Friday and is a lemon.

I wish there were more adventure games for the Mac.

Crack!

There are now more adventure games for the Mac, although none of them are actually any *good*. (I'll refrain from mentioning specifics, so as not to insult anyone's tastes ). You download all of the games, and your poor little Mac's brain can't handle it, and it short circuits.

I wish I could live in my own little world.

*ping* Your own little world, sadly, doesn't have England in it.

I wish for the genie's freedom.
