Yes, I was kind of hoping someone would offer that. I think I should start a separate thread so people who don't read the Community blog will notice it too. -

The trouble is the UK is so unused to snow at all that no-one has the equipment to deal with it. It snowed more after this (I'll post pictures later from my home computer) and the grip on the roads is terrible. My house is on a three-way junction, two bits of which are slopes (both up). We had a good view of people sliding backwards from my front room. The third route, which most of these sliders ended up taking, is flat. Trouble is the far end of it is on an even steeper hill. (there is a downslope as well that end though) Went OK. Only the immediate family (who are staying with us) made it in the end. We even had to get out and push the hearse for the last bit up to the chapel as the driveway was pure ice. (see above)

Today I got really angry with one of my co-workers. It takes a lot to get me mad enough to confront someone in public. But this woman has been making blunt and unfair remarks about about pretty much everyone at my job for about half a year now. And today the "shit hit the fan" so to speak and I just had to do something about it.
Afterwards several of my other co-workers told me how glad they were someone finally had spoken out about her behaviour. She can be quite intimidating at times and I think she was kind of surprised someone actually confronted her. I'm still a bit shaky from the experience, but I actually got an e-mail from her when I got home (written after my explosion) It was a link to a website about schloss Neuschwanstein which we had been talking about earlier today. She's making this huge jigsaw puzzle with the schloss and I told her about my adventure gaming and Gabriel Knight 2.

I expect tomorrow to be just an ordinary Friday and business as usual. Hopefully she has pondered at least a bit, but I think she's too proud to let anyone know. *shrugs*

You know, that somehow reminds me of that time back when dear Giligsie first joined our ranks. Remember how he misbehaved back then, until I too exploded. Though of course, doing this in front of someone that you see daily in person takes a bit more. Not saying I wouldn't have been able to do the same thing, but I do tend to speak before I think which takes away a bit of the impact of such a thing - though me suddenly cursing like a scotsman (if I'm sleepy it's even complete with accent. ) when usually the worst I can say is "Keck" does help to make the people pay attention to me. *pats your back* You did well. ^_^ -

*waves* Hey everyone!!! I'm sorry to hear about all of the sadness going around. I'm doing pretty good; I had a small 'bump' with my boyfriend, but we're good.
I'm wondering what game I want to replay, since I, as a college student, can't afford to buy a new one. What do you think? Not that I have any of the games you guys do. lol I'm working my way through "Faust: Seven Games of the Soul", even though I'm not sure if I like it or not. I heard it was really dark, but I've hardly seen any dark plot points at all in it. I don't know what to think of this game. Although I liked the treasure hunt. lol Hmm...I was thinking of replaying "The Longest Journey", but since it's so long, I want to leave a lot of space between playings so I can marvel at the little details again. Maybe I'll try to play Syberia again, or run through "The Blackstone Chronicles" or "Black Mirror". Will I wander around Myst:Uru until I'm bored and pause that game for another for the millionth time? (I do love this game, it's just slow). Should I give "Post Mortem" anotehr try? Hmm...I dunno. I will ponder what I want to play, so hopefully I don't give up and jsut go and rewatch my favorite tv show. :/ Thanks for lettng me rant.

Hi Fantasy! Glad to hear that everything's fine!
If I were you, I would give Syberia another go!

You could always download some of the homebrew underground stuff - most of them are free, good quality, and moderately short (without being TOO short).

I gotta say, that's the most cheerful rant I've heard in a long time.

Hi Fantasy! We need more rants here like yours! Have a nice weekend! Using too many exclamation marks is a sure sign of madness!

haha Thanks guys. I just finished Seven Games of the Soul...and was left in utter confusion. Anyone played it and can help me understand it better?
And I love that end song...I wish I could find it somewhere so I can listen to it! xD And Andrea-I'll give Syberia another try, no worries.
