Does you mother have a good sense of humour Jat?
My family keep making jokes about me getting older and the potential adjustments I could do. We can be very cruel when joking within our family and we enjoy it. Ah well, you're rarely serious...

Mr Ed actually.
In a purely linguistic sense that is true but from an accounts point of view those statements mean the same thing.

I once read to a horse, so I could steal its teeth.

Speaking of cosmetic surgery, there's this bizarre programme on Channel 4 over here called 10 Years Younger, or somesuch. It presents itself as a makeover programme, so I was expecting to see clothes shopping and perhaps a new hairdo. But no. Apparently the only way to look ten years younger nowadays is to have a facelift and unnecessary dental surgery...
This kind of programme worries me. A lot. |

And you're only hearing about that now?

When they first started doing 10 Years Younger it was mostly about how to dress well, style your hair, do your make-up, with only the slightest amount of plastic surgery where neccessary. Now it's like Extreme Makeover, they suck and tuck everything, and give you a mouth full of veneers.
(I still like it though, the plastic surgery prepares you for watching Gordon Ramsay butcher a pig afterwards, in "The F Word.")

I've never understood the dislike of plastic surgery. I mean, when people have extra fat, they get rid of it, (and if they don't, they should) so when one has extra skin, why shouldn't one get rid of it too?

I think it's fabulous, unless you end up looking like Melanie Griffith, or Mickey Rourke...

Now was the first I heard about such a show. It's… well…
I saw an episode of Dr Who yesterday, where they had special versions of Big Brother and The Weakest Link Spoiler:. This doesn't sound that much better than those programmes. Actually, now that I think about it, there was a makeover show, too… I though that was exaggerated, but apparently not so much.

So when you said people should get rid of their extra fat, you didn't really mean yourself, did you?

You shouldn't tip it down the drain though, as it solidifies and then a little man has to go down the sewer with a shovel and clean it out.

That episode would be "Bad Wolf", which was a term that appeared through the entire season of the series. I found that one less interesting than some others, maybe because I don't really like game shows (though, considering how annoying especially Big Brother participants seem to be once they "get out", I agree with the disposal method of them shown in the episode. Weeding out the human vegetable patch, you know. ). My favourites of the season still have to be "The Unquiet Dead" and "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances" two parter. Even "Aliens of London" was better than "Bad Wolf", in my eyes. Oh, and "The End of the World" is just beautiful (Also it had the quote: "Moisurise me! Moisturise me!" in it, which always makes me laugh. ). -

No they shouldn't!
Once the fat are no longer house bound they will flood out into the streets causing massive congestion. The flow of foot traffic will be dammed as they consume entire pavements with their mass, allowing no one past, then after 3 agonising steps they will grind to a halt, and wheeze out of sheer exhaustion. No, I say no! Keep the fat out of sight, where they belong. It's time to put the morbid back into morbidly obese!
