All this euphuistic language is stark contrast to the procrustean impuissant turpitude full of nimiety of the ignominious Mr Lacey. I expect his failure to achieve a thread postlude will lead him to trichotillomania

Cold Topic

A thread most controversial, that’s what I want to start
Full of impassioned arguments, of posting from the heart
And for this stimulation all will be thankful to me
On come on everybody it won’t work if you agree

It's amazing how complicated it is to try and install XP on a machine that came with Vista.

Well, it's clear that Thread readers have agreed that your new policy is a really excellent plan but in view of some of the doubts being expressed, may I propose that I recall that after careful consideration, the considered view of the committee was that while they considered that the proposal met with broad approval in principle, that some of the principles were sufficiently fundamental in principle and some of the considerations so complex and finely balanced in practice, that, in principle, it was proposed that the sensible and prudent practice would be to submit the proposal for more detailed consideration, laying stress on the essential continuity of the new proposal with existing principles, and the principle of the principal arguments which the proposal proposes and propounds for their approval in principle.

What's up with that ad on this site that advertises plastic rims for CDs? The ad says "scratched disks can seriously damage your wealth." Like, what? "Wealth"? It'd damage your CDs, but your wealth? That doesn't even make sense!

Yeah, but then, shouldn't it say "scratched disks cost you money"? What they've got sounds like something an RPG character would say.

We do what we must because we can,
for the good of all of us except for the ones who are dead,
but there's no sense crying over every mistake,
you just keep on trying until you run out of cake!

It's so delicious and moist.

I have your brain scanned and permanently backed up in case something terrible happens to you, which it's just about to. Don't believe me? Here, I'll put you on... "Hellooooo" That's you! That's how dumb you sound! You've been wrong about every single thing you've ever done, including this thing. You're not smart. You're not a scientist. You're not a doctor. You're not even a full-time employee. Where did your life go so wrong?

They're trying to be funny, and are playing on the similarity of "… can seriously damage your health."

Why do obese people need to be 'rescued?'

I'm watching an episode of classic Jerry Springer, and I can't understand it. These people can't even move, just leave them alone for a few months and they'd naturally digest themselves back to a normal weight.
