Sym.BIOS: Torn Asunder unveiled
In a recent announcement, Cassiopeia Developments, an indie studio from Paris, France, revealed their upcoming game Sym.BIOS: Torn Asunder. The game is a full 2D, classic visual novel style with 2D characters. Set in 2364 in the ruins of what used to be Rome, Italy, the game follows the story of a philanthropist from the Colonies in space who arrives with a dream to create a sanctuary city deep underground. However, the locals resist his gift, and militias start attacking the construction site, forcing the philanthropist to assemble a team to protect his utopia.
Sym.BIOS: Torn Asunder is a visual novel that puts players in the role of the protagonist, where their choices throughout the game can have far-reaching consequences for the story's characters. The game features over 500 pages of inspired dialogue and over one hundred painted backgrounds inspired by sci-fi artist John Harris and classic impressionist painters like John Turner and Claude Monet. The game also features a cast of deep and interesting characters whose relationships will be brought to the limit in this tense adventure.
In addition to its compelling story, Sym.BIOS: Torn Asunder also boasts an exceptional soundtrack by Dutch artist Sekond Prime as well as the latest single from Austin indie artist Primo the Alien “Beginning of Us”, available today on your favourite streaming services.
Sym.BIOS: Torn Asunder will be released in Spring 2023. Cassiopeia Developments has yet to announce platforms, pricing, or an exact release date but stay tuned as more information will be revealed on the road to release this spring.
