For adventure gamers, there has already been a wide range of enticing releases in 2024. While many of them are accessible on more popular gaming platforms, such as a PlayStation 5 console, we’re also seeing a strong selection of releases from the genre occupy the Android gaming space, be it on a smartphone device or a tablet. 

Given the advancements made in the handheld devices of today, sampling an adventure release on your phone or tablet is a viable opportunity. In the same way that people dabble in titles like the bison-themed Fire Stampede game in the heart of the untamed American wilderness and track down the guilty party in Among Us, these adventure releases can sit in your pocket or your bag and be enjoyed as and when it suits you. There are plenty of sub-genres in this particular space, though, but there truly are some excellent titles to tuck into.

Pikmin Bloom

An option that is gathering momentum in recent times, Pikmin Bloom is another augmented reality product by the makers of the smash-hit game, Pokemon Go. Sky: Children of the Light

Sky: Children of the Light isn’t new but it certainly deserves more attention. A free-to-play product where gamers embark on an unforgettable journey that revolves around an ever-changing plot in a strange world, this immersive gaming experience is one of the best around on an Android device. With exploration being key in this one, there is so much to soak up in this eye-catching release that has a dedicated and loyal community of gamers behind it. 

Thimbleweed Park

A point-and-click adventure game that deserves your time, Thimbleweed Park is a mightily impressive release on the whole. In the game, a dead body is the last thing you have to worry about, particularly given the abundance of weirdness that surrounds you. Playing between five characters throughout the title, this popular release is by the makers of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion, making it a must for people who enjoyed those particular releases. 

Teslagrad

A classic game that has made a comeback in the modern environment, Teslagrad offers a strong dose of physics-based challenges as you aim to navigate your way through this delightful platformer. Also containing detailed environments to traverse, an engaging storyline in an unforgiving world, and abilities to earn that will help you on your journey, this complex favourite is hard to fault and will provide you with hours of entertainment.
